This initiative is a strategic driver of HRH Princess Chulabhorn’s project on “Disease-Free Animals, Safe Humans from Rabies”. The program aims to promote cooperation among relevant agencies and sectors under the “One Health” concept, which emphasizes the integration of human, animal, and environmental health knowledge and operations. On July 23, 2026, the Office of Research, Chulabhorn Research Institute (CRI), held its annual “Big Cleaning Day” for 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Chemistry Research Building and the Biomedical Science Building. The event aimed to promote tidiness, enhance safety, and create a positive working environment. The activity fostered a strong spirit of cooperation, with personnel from both administrative offices and laboratories/units actively joining forces to clean and organize their workspaces together. On July 18, 2026, at Pacific Park Sriracha, Sriracha District, Chonburi Province, by Royal Command of Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Mahidol, President of the Chulabhorn Research Institute (CRI), Dr. Thakur Phanit, Vice President for International Relations of the CRI, presided over the opening ceremony of the Integrated Training Project for Knowledge Dissemination and Technology Transfer on Rabies Management in Communities. He also conducted a site visit and followed up on the progress of HRH Princess Chulabhorn’s project, “Disease-Free Animals, Safe Humans from Rabies,” in Chonburi Province, which has been selected as a target area to tangibly enhance local capacity in rabies control and prevention. Currently, Chonburi Province has a total dog and cat population of approximately 209,473. In the 2025 fiscal year, spaying and neutering procedures were performed on 2,829 dogs and cats, and 23,530 rabies vaccinations were administered. Furthermore, there are four animal shelters to provide care for stray animals and promote the systematic management of the animal population in the area. This training program was organized through a collaboration between the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and the Faculty of Education at Kasetsart University, along with local partner agencies, to enhance the knowledge and develop the potential of personnel working in rabies surveillance, prevention, and control at the community level. The lecture provided important scientific and medical knowledge to ensure that the public and interested individuals have a correct understanding of the disintegration and dissolution efficiency of herbal capsules, which directly impacts absorption and treatment.
