About The President
Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana was born on 4 July 1957 at the Amporn Sathan Throne Hall of Dusit Palace. She is the youngest daughter of Their Majesties King Bhumibol and Queen Sirikit. Her name, “Chulabhorn” was granted as a tribute to her great-grandfather King Chulalongkorn the Great.
Since her early childhood years, Her Royal Highness had shown a keen interest in math, science, and art – music and Thai classical dance in particular. At the primary and secondary education levels, she attended Chitralada School situated in the Chitralada Palace grounds, where she did very well in science subjects as well as foreign languages and art subjects. However, she devoted her last high school years to science, wishing to establish herself as a scientist in order to best serve the country and contribute to the happiness and well-being of the people, thus also fulfilling the wish of her mother, Queen Sirikit.
Blessed with a love for literature, mathematics, and science, Her Royal Highness has nurtured her artistic talents from a tender age. Each day, upon her return from school, she would attend to her royal duties before devoting her remaining hours to mastering the piano under the guidance of her Russian music teacher, honing her skills until her playing became a symphony of beauty. But her gifts are not limited to music alone, as she is also a dazzling dancer, constantly perfecting her Thai dance skills with the esteemed Miss Phaow, a national dance artist. Her journey in the arts began in grade 1 in 1963, and every year since, she has graced the annual end-of-term joyous performance with her presence, displaying her artistic brilliance for all to admire.
For higher education, Princess Chulabhorn pursued further studies in science to the highest levels. With outstanding academic scores,
