The Chao Phya Abhaibhubejhr Hospital Foundation, under the Royal Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Bejaratana Rajasuda Sirisobha Phannavadi, in collaboration with the Department of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine, organized the “23rd Thailand Herbal EXPO 2026” from July 2–5, 2026, at Hall 12, IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Muang Thong Thani. The event’s objective was to drive and elevate Thai herbs to international standards.

On July 3, 2026, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jutamaad Satayavivad, Vice President for Scientific Affairs and Director, Laboratory of Pharmacology, Chulabhorn Research Institute, served as an expert lecturer in a seminar session focused on updating recent advances in herbal research. She delivered a lecture entitled “How the Dissolution of Capsule Drug Impacts Treatment: A Case Study of Fa Thalai Chon” at the Abhaibhubejhr Herb booth.

The lecture provided important scientific and medical knowledge to ensure that the public and interested individuals have a correct understanding of the disintegration and dissolution efficiency of herbal capsules, which directly impacts absorption and treatment. The session also aimed to raise public awareness and promote the correct, appropriate, and maximally safe application of Thai herbal medicines in daily life.

Big Cleaning Day Activity at the Office of Research

The Office of Research, Chulabhorn Research Institute, organized a “Big Cleaning Day” activity to promote environmental health and foster a safe and hygienic workspace. On July 23, 2026, the Office of Research, Chulabhorn Research Institute (CRI), held its annual “Big Cleaning Day” for 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Chemistry Research Building and the Biomedical Science Building. The event aimed to promote tidiness, enhance safety, and create a positive working environment. The activity fostered a strong spirit of cooperation, with personnel from both administrative offices and laboratories/units actively joining forces to clean and organize their workspaces together. On this occasion, Dr. Chantragan Phiphopmongkol, Associate Vice President for Research, along with Assoc. Prof. Nardtida Tumrasvin, Director, Office of Research, expressed their appreciation to all staff members whose active involvement drove the activity to a successful conclusion. In addition to improving the physical surroundings and promoting good workplace hygiene, this year’s Big Cleaning Day also supported CRI’s operations in alignment with environmental health campaigns commemorating “Thai Environmental Health Day” (July 4). The initiative further reinforces the Institute’s ongoing commitment to being an organization dedicated to sustainable health, hygiene, and environmental care.

The 2026 Annual General Meeting of the Chulabhorn Foundation Board of Directors

On September 8, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., Lieutenant Chawat Artthayukti, Secretary-General of the Chulabhorn Foundation, presided over the 2026 Annual General Meeting of the Chulabhorn Foundation Board of Directors. The Foundation’s board members attended the meeting both on-site at Meeting Room R117, 1st Floor, Chemistry Research Building, Chulabhorn Research Institute, and via video conference. The meeting was held to review the Foundation’s operational performance, progress, and key issues related to advancing its missions. During the meeting, significant agenda items were discussed and acknowledged. These included the Chulabhorn Foundation’s 2025 operational report, the 2025–2026 reports on patients under the Foundation’s royal patronage, royal scholarships, and royally bestowed equipment, as well as the 2025–2026 report on the publication of the Chulabhorn Foundation Journals. The board also discussed preparations for the 6th Royal Trophy Charity Golf Tournament, the status of the Hathaitip Fund under the Chulabhorn Foundation, and the Foundation’s recent participation in setting up booths at major events, namely the Pramong Nomklao Fair 2026 and the Royal Project 57 Fair 2026.
