On September 21, 2024, by Royal Command of Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Mahidol, President of the Chulabhorn Research Institute (CRI), Mr. Chalermpol Thanchitt, Vice President for International Relations of the CRI, presided over the opening ceremony of the Project on Integrated Training for Knowledge Dissemination and Technology Transfer on the Management of Rabies to Communities. The Project is part of the strategic plan of the operation of HRH Princess Chulabhorn’s project on “Disease-free Animals, Safe Humans from Rabies”. The event was held at Suntara Wellness Resort and Hotel, Mueang Chachoengsao District, Chachoengsao Province. This integrated training for knowledge dissemination and technology transfer on the management of rabies to communities constitutes a significant part of the forces rallied under the cooperation between the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and the Faculty of Education, Kasetsart University, Provincial Livestock Office, and other relevant local agencies. Prof. Dr. Jutamaad Satayavivad, Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Chulabhorn Research Institute (CRI), together with executives and researchers, attended a meeting on the evaluation of the outcomes and impacts of large-scale research and innovation programs in the fiscal year 2024. During the meeting, Dr. Piyatat Pananurak, Director, Monitoring and Evaluation Division, Thailand Science Research and Innovation (TSRI), presented the direction for evaluating the outcomes and impacts of these large-scale research and innovation programs. Following this, a team of evaluators from Kasetsart University, led by Asst. Prof. Visit Limsombunchai Ph.D., introduced the evaluation guidelines and criteria for selecting case study projects. Dr. Kwanrawee Sirikanchana, Research Scientist II at the Laboratory of Biotechnology, Chulabhorn Research Institute (CRI), attended a meeting on the study and analysis of the risk of antimicrobial resistance in hospital wastewater treatment system impacting people’s health, organized by the Bureau of Environmental Health, Department of Health, on June 12, 2024. The study findings constituted part of academic services projects provided by the Laboratory of Biotechnology of the CRI. During the meeting, a representative from the Bureau of Environmental Health, gave a lecture on “Research project to evaluate the readiness of the public health sector in developing the prototype of the management of antimicrobial resistance in hospital wastewater treatment system”. Moreover, Asst.
