On January 9, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the Lom Sak District Office Meeting Hall, Lom Sak District, Phetchabun Province, by Royal Command of Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Mahidol, President of the Chulabhorn Research Institute, who was deeply concerned with the health of victims affected by the cold weather, Mr. Bancha Techasakul, Vice President for Special Activities, Chulabhorn Research Institute, presented 2,000 sets of the Royally-granted essential supplies to Mr. Krit Kongmuang, Governor of Phetchabun Province, for onward transmission to the victims of cold weather in the Districts of Lom Sak, Nam Nao, and Lom Kao in Phetchabun Province. The primary goal was to uplift the spirits and alleviate the immediate suffering of those affected by the cold weather at the initial stage. The event was held at Viang Tak Riverside Hotel, Mueang Tak district, Tak province. This Project on integrated training for relevant knowledge dissemination and technology and innovation transfer on the management of rabies to communities is organized through the cooperation between the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and the Faculty of Education, Kasetsart University. The two Faculties jointly transfer knowledge to people to ensure that they all understand the management of the problems of rabies in provinces across the country. Dr. Karnpob Kanhasut, a research scientist at the Center for Biologics Research and Development, Chulabhorn Research Institute, was selected as Thailand’s representative to attend the 2024 Global Young Scientists Summit (GYSS) by the Technology Information Foundation under the Initiative of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, in collaboration with the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), held in Singapore from January 8-12, 2024. The project aims to create a network between Nobel Prize recipients and senior scientists on the one hand and new generation scientists on the other, through activities such as lectures, plenary lectures, panel discussions, and small group sessions. These sessions were conducted by recipients of international awards in science, mathematics, and technology. Representing Thailand at this academic meeting provided the participating researcher with an opportunity to broaden his academic perspectives, learn about new scientific and technological advancements through the real experiences of Nobel Prize-winning scientists and scientists with internationally recognized achievements, receive advice from them as well as exchange opinions with them and the new generation of scientists from around the world.
