Chulabhorn Research Institute holds Ceremony to Honor His Majesty the King on the Auspicious Occasion of His Majesty’s Birthday Anniversary on July 28, 2025

On July 25, 2025 at 10.00 a.m., the Chulabhorn Research Institute (CRI) held a ceremony to mark the auspicious occasion of the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua which falls on July 28, 2025.  Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chusak Limsakul, Vice President for Administration, Building and Grounds of the CRI, along with the executives and personnel of the CRI, paid their respects, offered well wishes, and signed a book of blessings in front of His Majesty’s portrait to express their loyalty and in recognition of His Majesty’s unwavering dedication to the Thai people’s well-being.  The ceremony was held in the Meeting Room 1 of the Chemistry Research Building at the CRI.

His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua has made innumerable contributions with unwavering determination and commitment to “treasuring, preserving, and building on” the Royal Initiatives of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great. In fulfilling His Royal Duties for the well-being of the people, His Majesty has devoted Himself with diligence and perseverance to advancing the nation’s progress and security in every field, ranging from education, medicine and public health, agriculture to environment, as well as the improvement of the Thai people’s quality of life across the country, leading to the people’s genuine happiness.  These efforts are in alignment with His Majesty’s Pledge to the Thai people on His Accession to the Throne: “We shall treasure, preserve, and build on Our heritage and shall reign in righteousness for the great enduring good of the people”.

Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Mahidol performs Royal Duties with the Princess Mother’s Medical Volunteer Foundation and Bestows Royally-Granted Survival Packs to Displaced People in Si Sa Ket, Surin, and Buri Ram Provinces

Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Mahidol is filled with great compassion and deeply concerned with the well-being of the Thai people. As the country faces tensions along the Thai-Cambodian border – affecting the safety, quality of life, and well-being of local residents, especially health issues of the sick and disadvantaged, as well as displaced people who lack access to normal medical and public health services as in normal situations – Her Royal Highness directed the Princess Mother’s Medical Volunteer Foundation (PMMV) to provide medical check-ups and treatment for the displaced people from the current situation in the three lower northeast provinces of Si Sa Ket, Surin, and Buri Ram. Her Royal Highness also bestowed Royally-Granted survival packs to initially alleviate the suffering of the affected people. The mission took place from August 29-31, 2025. Upon arrival in each area to perform Her Royal Duties, Her Royal Highness visited local people and granted audiences to patients in need – particularly those with serious chronic diseases requiring continuous care – so they could receive timely Royal Assistance. These patients included individuals suffering from conditions such as breast cancer, lymphoma, brain cancer, ischemic stroke, scleroderma, congenital heart disease, and biliary atresia. Chulabhorn Research Institute Welcomes Miss World 2025 on the Occasion of Her Visit to the Center for Biologics Research and Development

On August 14, 2025 at 2.45 p.m., Mr. Surapit Kirtiputra, Vice President for International Relations, Chulabhorn Research Institute (CRI), along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mayuree Fuangthong, Research Scientist II, Dr. Chalermchai Artpradit, Research Scientist I, a team of researchers at the CRT, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Soranat Raibhu, Engineering High Level Expert, welcomed Ms. Suchata “Opal” Chuangsri, Miss World 2025, on the occasion of her visit to the Center for Biologics Research and Development (CBRD), CRI. The purpose of her visit was to learn about the operations of the CBRD and its progress in R&D and production of drugs for cancer treatment. The CBRD is fully equipped with infrastructure, technology, and operational systems and is the first center in Thailand to successfully support the comprehensive development process of biologics. The Center for Biologics Research and Development (CBRD) was established to fulfill the vision of Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Mahidol, President of the CRI.
