The activities included the dissemination of knowledge and understanding related to the management and resolving of the problems of rabies at the local level, focusing on the transfer of up-to-date knowledge and modern technology to over 180 livestock officials, public health officials, public health teachers, and village health volunteers. Based on both theoretical and practical learning methods, the attendees particularly had the opportunity to participate in various hands-on activities, such as exercises on the use of mobile technology to manage and prevent rabies, an introduction to relevant legal provisions through the EDURA application, demonstrations of first aid procedures and proper treatment for dog bites, as well as knowledge transfer on rabies through a Q&A game. These activities aimed to stimulate participants to recognize the importance of learning, while enjoying the interactive competition.

In Nakhon Ratchasima Province, the total population of dogs and cats is currently recorded at 570,000.  In the fiscal year 2024, 4,532 dogs and cats were sterilized and 568,062 vaccinated against rabies.  At the district level, Phimai and Bua Lai were certified as two rabies-free Districts, reflecting the effective collaboration of relevant community networks in surveillance, prevention, and control of rabies.
