On November 18, 2024 at 2.00 p.m., Lieutenant Chawat Artthayukti, Secretary-General of the Chulabhorn Foundation, presided over the Chulabhorn Foundation Board’s 2024 Annual General Meeting. The Foundation Board Directors attended the meeting via video conference to follow up on the progress of the operation of the Foundation. The meeting was convened in the R606 Meeting Room of the Multipurpose Building at the Chulabhorn Research Institute. In the meeting, the important agenda items requiring discussion, consideration, and follow-up included: the registration of the appointment of Directors of the Chulabhorn Foundation Board to fill vacancies in accordance with the number stipulated by the Foundation Charter, the addition of new objectives to the Foundation to enable the utilization and enhancement of research work, reports on patients under the Royal Patronage of the Chulabhorn Foundation, Royally-Granted scholarships and equipment for fiscal years 2023 and 2024, and a summary of the operations of the “Share Kindness to fight Rabies” Project by the Foundation, etc. The Chulabhorn Foundation remains committed to continuously organizing activities to promote research, academic work, and public assistance activities to support the sick and the disadvantaged, as well as homeless animals in every region in the country. Pursuant to the meeting to discuss the evaluation of the outcomes and impacts of large-scale research and innovation programs between the Chulabhorn Research Institute (CRI), Thailand Science Research and Innovation (TSRI), and a team of evaluators from the Center for Applied Economics Research, Kasetsart University, on September 11, 2024 in the R117 Meeting Room of the Chemistry Research Building at the CRI, the CRI was selected by the TSRI to be evaluated for its programs on the R&D and production of biologics and herbal products under the scope of research conducted during fiscal years 2021-2022. The Project is part of the strategic plan of the operation of HRH Princess Chulabhorn’s project on “Disease-free Animals, Safe Humans from Rabies”. The event was held at Suntara Wellness Resort and Hotel, Mueang Chachoengsao District, Chachoengsao Province. This integrated training for knowledge dissemination and technology transfer on the management of rabies to communities constitutes a significant part of the forces rallied under the cooperation between the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and the Faculty of Education, Kasetsart University, Provincial Livestock Office, and other relevant local agencies. This Project, which is part of the strategy of HRH Princess Chulabhorn’s project on “Disease-free Animals, Safe Humans from Rabies” implemented since 2017, integrates operations of all relevant sectors under the “One Health” concept of the World Health Organization.
