โครงการฝึกอบรมระยะสั้น ด้านอนามัยสิ่งแวดล้อม พิษวิทยาและการประเมินความเสี่ยงจากสารเคมี
โครงการฝึกอบรมระยะสั้น ด้านอนามัยสิ่งแวดล้อม พิษวิทยาและการประเมินความเสี่ยงจากสารเคมี เป็นกิจกรรมหลักของของศูนย์อนามัยสิ่งแวดล้อมและพิษวิทยานานาชาติ โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อสนับสนุน เผยแพร่ความรู้ และพัฒนาทรัพยากรบุคคลด้านอนามัยสิ่งแวดล้อม พิษวิทยาและการประเมินความเสี่ยงจากสารเคมี ทั้งภาครัฐและเอกชนของประเทศไทย ตลอดถึงประเทศต่าง ๆ ในภูมิภาคเอเชียแปซิฟิก โดยเฉพาะประเทศในกลุ่มอาเซียนและประเทศกำลังพัฒนา
เนื้อหาการฝึกอบรมให้ความสำคัญกับการชี้นำถึงการนำสารเคมีมาใช้ให้เกิดประโยชน์อย่างสูงสุด ไม่ว่าจะเป็นในชีวิตประจำวัน ในภาคเกษตรกรรรมหรืออุตสาหกรรม และส่งผลกระทบด้านลบแก่สิ่งแวดล้อมและสุขภาพอนามัยน้อยที่สุด
กิจกรรมของโครงการประกอบด้วย การจัดการประชุมเชิงปฏิบัติการ จัดฝึกอบรมทั้งในประเทศและภูมิภาค จัดการสัมมนาระดับผู้บริหารและการประชุมเพื่อความร่วมมือทางวิทยาศาสตร์ โดยได้รับความร่วมมือจากวิทยากรของสถาบันต่าง ๆ ที่มีชื่อเสียงจากทั้งยุโรปและอเมริกา เพื่อให้เกิดการถ่ายทอดความรู้และประสบการณ์ ทำให้บุคลากรที่เข้าร่วมโครงการสามารถนำความรู้ที่ได้ไปประยุกต์ใช้ในการป้องกันและแก้ไขปัญหาการนำสารเคมีมาใช้ที่เกิดผลเสียต่อสิ่งแวดล้อมและสุขภาพอนามัยต่อไป รวมทั้งสามารถนำความรู้ที่ได้ถ่ายทอด หรือไปพัฒนาจัดการฝึกอบรมให้แก่บุคลากรภายในหน่วยงานของตนได้ต่อไปในอนาคต
จนถึงปัจจุบัน ศูนย์อนามัยสิ่งแวดล้อมและพิษวิทยานานาชาติ ได้จัดการฝึกอบรมหลักสูตรต่างๆ ไปมากกว่า 110 ครั้ง มีผู้เข้าร่วมการฝึกอบรมมากกว่า 4,200 คน จาก 44 ประเทศ และได้จัดการฝึกอบรมในภูมิภาคเอเชียแปซิฟิกมาแล้ว 26 ครั้ง ใน 9 ประเทศ ได้แก่ บรูไนดารุสซาลาม ราชอาณาจักรกัมพูชา สาธารณรัฐอินโดนีเซีย สาธารณรัฐประชาธิปไตยประชาชนลาว มาเลเซีย สหภาพพม่า สาธารณรัฐสังคมนิยมเวียดนาม สาธารณรัฐสังคมนิยมประชาธิปไตยศรีลังกาและราชอาณาจักรภูฎาน
